The ARS42i Component is a Active X COM component allowing easy access to Remedy Action Request System databases. Some of its features include:

	COM interface allows support for several popular development environments like Active Server Pages, Visual Basic, Cold Fusion, Visual C++, etc.
	Record set like access without the need to install ADO, supporting query, inserting (submit), update and delete
	Disk and memory caching for increased performance
	Does not require the Remedy User tool to be installed

ARS DB Link to External Database

The ARS DB Link to External Database is a Remedy ARS plug-in allowing easy access to data outside Remedy data. Some of its features include:

	Access various databases such as DB2, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase directly from Remedy.
	Plug-in is curently available for Windows (Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 2003) and various Unix platforms (HP/UX, Linux, Solaris)
	Developed using Remedy's ARDBC architecture, so the external data is available through Vendor forms.
	Compatible with ARS 6.x and ARS 7.x platforms.
	Supports Unicode data.
	Access external tables and views without Remedy's 15 byte unique key limitation.
	Utilizes native database drivers for fast and efficient access.
	Enables rapid Remedy development because access to external data is simple (less knowledge of SQL required) and unique key constraints are virtually eliminated!
